Given all the recent publicity surrounding the Temple of Myr'Khul, I was asked to visit the Temple of Divine Light, and write down what I saw so that those new to RhyDin may know of this beacon of peace and kindness, founded over two years ago.
I spent a delightful morning in the company of Sister Alia. When I first approached the Southwestern Gates, I was immediately struck by the beauty of the sunlight glittering upon the golden dome of the Temple. Sister Alia escorted me through the gates, and pointed out the Administrative building, set back amidst formal gardens that were breathtaking to behold. She explained the gardens help foster an atmosphere of contemplation and prayer.
Then, we reached the Grand Staircase leading up to the arched entryway. Sister Alia opened the door, and together we entered the Reception Hall. The first thing
I noticed as we stepped inside was a statue of the White Lady, to whom the Temple is dedicated. I was able to view the Pool of the Accepted from a distance, as Sister Alia explained only Initiates and the Accepted are permitted in that area. She went on to say how her life began anew once she was clad in the white and gold robes after being immersed. She also showed me how both the Residences and the Administrative Offices opened onto the Acceptance Pool in beautiful symmetry.
As we slowly walked back toward the Reception Hall, she told me of all the help the Temple provides to the citizens of RhyDin, including a hospice and an orphanage. A soup kitchen and homeless shelter are soon to be established as well.
We bid each other good day, and I left the Temple of Divine Light, and headed back to The Oracle office. It lifted my spirits to know such a place existed in this realm, and I plan to return to offer my assistance very soon.
Hunter Longden
By GAVILEAN STARFARE
Tara Longden gave birth to Hunter Longden at the Longden Castle at 11:20 p.m. on Saturday, the 13th of January. She was attended by her husband, Count Talomar, and a servant by the name of Katie.
Hunter, the Longden's second son born this year, is doing very well. There were reports of his mother bringing him into the Inn and giving him not only personal introductions to the patrons, but also a history lesson, all on the day after he was born. Hunter is destined to become a well-instructed child with a unique view of the world.
Recently the Longdens were overhead at the Inn talking about having sixteen children and were rushing off to work on number 3.

Snowflake Ball
By LADY WYHEREE BLACK
The First Annual Snowflake Ball was held in the Red Dragon Inn on January 19th. The first thing patrons noticed upon entering was a soft snowfall, provided by the Ice Queen, Wyheree Black. She made sure the snow drifted around those who might be harmed by the glittering flakes. Erinalle Dunbridge, the Hostess of the Ball, provided spiced cider and wine for those in attendance, as well as music perfect for dancing! She used a strange device called a "phonograph" that projected lively tunes for everyone to hear, without the space needed by a musical group. Lady Erin was dressed in a pale blue dress that ended at the knees, with tulle peeking out from beneath the hem. Cute heels completed the lovely ensemble. Her hair was shorter, and styled all "1940s Earthlike" and pinned with a little silver pin. Lady Wyheree wore a silvery gown that seemed to have snowflakes scattered over it.
Among the many in attendance was Her Majesty, Teleperien, Queen of Eldicor, escorted by her long-time ally, Lord Xenograg. The Ball marked the first public appearance of Her Majesty in quite some time. Antonio Falconne was also present, preparing his signature Hot Buttered Rum
for any who wished it. Brian Ravenlock personally delivered a gift a fine keg of special Dwarven Ale, which was enjoyed mightily by his sister Lady Wyheree and her husband, Captain James Black.
The candlelit Inn was enjoyed by all, and we look forward to next year's celebration of the finest season, Winter!
Jump Gate Technology
Jump Gate Technology has been set up between RhyDin and Exodii solar system located several systems from here. Communication must be opened with the satellite before the location is dialed in the gate and the portal is open for space ship travel. We can accommodate ships as large as battle cruisers. For specifics, please verify when in communication with the satellite prior to attempting passage through the portal we are not responsible for separated and virtually impossible to repair portions of your ship zapped across the system to only the gods know where if you are too big to fit. So, Know your size.
One Gate is in a very high orbit of Exodii planet and the other was recently set in place in high orbit above RhyDin. These were set, tested and now open during the holidays, along with a communications satellite linked to the gate and its crew.
Travel between the two planets is open. A satellite for communication and surveillance is in orbit of RhyDin and a few orbit Exodii planet. Contact these and they will dial in the opening of the gate.
Questions will be asked to the nature of your business, ship's identity, your identity, expected length and location of stay and possible searches may occur from time to time. This is for security of both RhyDin and Exodii. Those who refuse to answer or submit will be denied travel through the gate or dealt with accordingly, so be warned.
Planet Side, another Gate is in place between RhyDin City and Exodii City, one that will accommodate more mundane travel such as, but not limited to, walking or wagons.
In Exodii
A huge building was placed over the road in the center of Exodii city harboring the jump gate portal. This was to ensure travel in winter would not find those from RhyDin walking unaware into a deadly freeze zone in the arctic mid winter month of January on Exodii (yes it gets that cold), but instead moving into the safety of a huge warm barn, for all intents and purposes. This barn would help house horses and goods temporarily. Business could commence as it used to do so long ago when the Woodshadows ruled the city of Exodii.
In RhyDin
The Gate in RhyDin is located on the east west road along the northern side of the river towards the western edge by the western bridge, almost directly across the river from Belarus Corp. Port. Directly south of the Gate along the beach front are the Exodii Enterprise warehouses. North of the Portal is the cluster of four shops, the Exodii Enterprises, nestled together along that corner of the block. Business will be open.
Travel using the Gates
Travel through the gates will be limited to either walking or vehicles no wider then a wagon, nor moving through faster then a walking pace and certainly not over the height limit of 15 feet.
Four guards are placed to each destination side of the portal to help direct the flow of traffic not only through the portal but those passing by and around it on the street. We do not want to see anyone accidently go through, so this will be manned continuously.
The portal is wide enough to allow two wagon loads side by side if necessary. Four more guards are on the Exodii side. The guards are there to make sure that all coming in or out are properly noted and checked.
Also, there are no fees for travel through the portal, though a general search would commence for everyone going through, along with some questioning for example: name, reason for travel, expected length of stay, etc. Those who refuse to answer, be searched, or try to force their way through the portal will be dealt with accordingly. Be warned.
As an added insurance, an anti magic zone is centered covering everything fifty feet from the portal. Teleportation, other Gate magics and transporter type technology are also blocked within the same range. Yes, it is possible to block magic with technology it really works.
Feel free to use the portal and visit the Exodii System. There are a few planets prime for Terra forming and Exodii Enterprises would be willing to negotiate a project of such magnitude. Inquiries may be channeled through Sha'uri Arrowny who may be contacted at either the Citadel in Exodii City, through the City's Mayor, or at the Ravensheart School for the Gifted here in RhyDin.
